Guide how to install IIS - Internet Information Service

The steps to install IIS (running localhost)

Start menu -> Control Panel

Go to Add, Remove Programs

In the window that opens, choose to continue to Add, Remove Windows Components

In the next window, tick Internet Information Services (IIS) - this is where we need to install components.

Click Next.

During the installation process, Windows may ask for Windows CD into the CD drive to copy the files that need it. At this time we can have two ways:

1. The disc into your CD drive and click OK.
2. If you already have on the folder containing the Windows installation, click Browse and navigate to the I386 folder in the installer. -> OK

Note the Windows installer disc must also be compatible with the current version of Windows you are using. For example if you use Windows XP Service Pack 2, then we must also give the correct disk in Windows XP Service Pack 2 is installed, the new.

Wait a bit to install IIS on the machine.

When the alarm installed, click Finish

Here we have IIS installed.

Now we set for success or not, we open up Internet Explorer. On the address (Address), type the word "localhost" -> hit Enter, if a page like this means we installed successfully.
